Our Leadership
Our organisation is led by its diverse and expert board of directors, executive committee and advisory council. The board of directors provides strategic direction and oversight. The advisory council provides strategic advice on matters concerning the chamber and the management committee is responsible for everyday operations of the organisation.
MOHAMMAD HOTAK
Dr Hotak is a medical doctor turned serial entrepreneur, philanthropist and rising young leader. He is a proud global and multicultural citizen of Great Britain and the founder of Invest In Great Britain, who is on a mission to build Britain’s trade and business relations with the world. Dr Hotak is a strong tri-sector leader with extensive experience in the public, private and non-governmental sectors. As a serial entrepreneur, he has founded, sits on the board of and has led Hotak Healthcare, UK Asia Trade & Investment Council, International Digital Chamber, British Afghan Chamber of Commerce and Britannia Trade Corporation. Dr Hotak is a national and internationally renowned speaker in the media, think-tanks, academia, conferences and seminars on innovation, entrepreneurship, international trade, foreign direct investment and leadership. He holds an MBChB in Medicine from Leeds Medical School and certifications in International Organisation Management, Smart Business Growth, Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
PRIYANKA AGARWAL
Ms Agarwal brings over 15 years of expertise in high-stakes financial transactions, with a distinguished track record in management buyouts, private equity and complex debt structuring. With a deep foundation in global finance, she serves as Chair of our investment committees, where she applies her strategic insight and rigorous analytical approach to guide capital deployment and portfolio growth. Her career spans notable roles at Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs, where she specialised in mergers and acquisitions across diverse sectors. Ms Agarwal holds a BSc in Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science and earned her MBA from Stanford University, further sharpening her cross-border investment acumen and leadership credentials.
JAMES WILSON
Mr Wilson is a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of expertise spanning finance, audit and consultancy within the UK’s banking and financial services landscape. Prior to joining our team, he held senior leadership roles at Deloitte, PwC and Lloyds Banking Group, where he served as Senior Director specialising in financial services strategy, regulatory compliance and operational transformation. Known for his analytical rigour and pragmatic leadership, Mr Wilson brings a trusted perspective to complex financial matters. He holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Leeds, underlining his strong academic foundation and commitment to professional excellence.
CAROL TAYLOR
Mrs Taylor brings more than 25 years of leadership experience within the healthcare industry, having held senior executive roles across prominent private hospitals and healthcare service providers in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Throughout her career, she has championed innovations in clinical delivery, operational efficiency, and patient-centered care. A passionate advocate for healthcare transformation, she is particularly committed to fostering closer collaboration between public institutions and private-sector partners to drive systemic improvements. Mrs Taylor holds an MBA with a healthcare specialism from the University of Warwick, where her studies concentrated on innovation, performance improvement, and strategic leadership. She also earned a Nursing degree from Plymouth University, grounding her executive perspective in frontline clinical insight.
NICK HARDY
Mr Hardy is a seasoned private equity professional with deep expertise in the oil, gas, and natural resources sector. He leads our investment services in this area, bringing a strategic, value-driven approach to complex capital deployments and energy-focused transactions. Before joining our team, he held senior roles at Morgan Stanley and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York, where he worked in their Global Energy and Mergers & Acquisitions divisions. His experience spans large-scale cross-border deals, portfolio optimisation, and growth equity investments. Mr Hardy holds a BA in Business Management and earned his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, solidifying his credentials as a global leader in natural resource investment.
